The use of electric vehicles in Azerbaijan was discussed in Britain

Elin Suleymanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the UK visited the Head Office of London Electric Vehicle Company – LEVC in Coventry city upon the invitation extended by the Company. Ambassador was joined by Baroness Emma Nicholson, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy on Azerbaijan who also facilitated the organization of the visit.

Representatives of LEVC made a presentation about major features and advantages as well as the production process of smart vehicles manufactured by LEVC. 

The discussion involved the issues such as the steps taken by Azerbaijan to stimulate the use of electric vehicles and the green energy in general as well as the infrastructure being established in Azerbaijan to that end.  Ambassador stressed that Azerbaijani President attaches a particular importance to the introduction of measures aimed at protection of human health and the environment.

The parties also discussed the supply of 100 new TX zero-emissions capable taxis to Baku Taxi Service LLC already in August 2020. The LEVC representatives highlighted that the steps taken by Azerbaijan towards greener future can set an example for other countries. They also hailed the country’s and especially Baku city’s tourism potential.
