UK’s Durham University hosts event on COP29

An event entitled "Lessons from COP29: The Contributions of Azerbaijan to a Greener World" was held at Durham Law School, the law school of Durham University in England.

Addressing the event, Elin Suleymanov, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, highlighted milestone agreements achieved during Azerbaijan's hosting of COP29. Mentioning the crucial progress made in Baku, the ambassador pointed out accomplishments achieved in terms of creation of effective and transparent carbon markets, as well as full operationalization of the Fund for responding to Loss and Damage.

Elin Suleymanov also updated the participants on net zero projects implemented by Azerbaijan in green energy, especially in the liberated territories. He underscored that the implementation of ongoing projects reflect Azerbaijan's contributions to a more sustainable and greener future.
