General Information
Documents must be translated by a translator, and the authenticity of the translator’s signature is certified by a consul. Translations carried out by translators registered with the Embassy are eligible for certification. Applicants are advised to contact the Embassy to obtain information about registered translators.
At the same time, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan may use the translation service available via the “Mobile Notary” application. For this purpose, the citizen submits a request for translation through the mobile application. Once the document has been translated, the citizen receives a notification and may then apply to the Embassy for notarial certification of the document by presenting the identification number provided through the application.
Application Procedure
The applicant must book an appointment through the electronic appointment portal and appear in person at the Embassy with the required documents. The accuracy of the translation is certified at the time of application and issued to the applicant.
Required Documents
- Original and copy of the applicant’s identity card or passport.
If the applicant is a foreign national or stateless person, the original and copy of the passport are required. - Original document requiring translation.
- Original translated document, translated and signed by the translator.
If the translator is not registered with the Embassy, the translator must appear in person and present: the original diploma confirming proficiency in the relevant language and an original identity document. - State fee of GBP 20. Cash payments are not accepted. The fee may be paid by bank card at the time of application.
