Consular Services
Confirmation of Documents and Extracts as a True Copy

General Information

Consular offices certify copies of documents issued by authorities, institutions, and organizations, provided that such documents do not contradict the law, have legal significance, and that the certification of the accuracy of document copies and extracts is not prohibited by law.

The accuracy of a copy of a document submitted by an individual may be certified only if the authenticity of the individual’s signature on the original document has been certified by a consul or notary, a relevant executive authority, or by the authority, institution, or organization where the individual works, studies, or receives medical treatment.

The accuracy of extracts from documents may be certified only if the content of the document relates to several unrelated matters. An extract must fully reproduce the text of the part of the document that relates to the specific matter concerned.

Application Procedure

The applicant must book an appointment through the electronic appointment portal and appear in person at the Embassy with the required documents. Documents and extracts are certified as a true copy at the time of application.
