British MP tables motion on 34th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

Member of the House of Commons of the British Parliament Bob Blackman has tabled a motion on the 34th anniversary the Khojaly genocide.
The motion reads: “That this House extends condolences to the people of Azerbaijan as they commemorate, on 26 February 2026, the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre where Armenian armed forces, with the backing of the Russian 366th Motor Rifle Regiment, brutally slaughtered 613 Azerbaijani civilians in Khojaly, including 106 women, 63 children, and 70 elderly people; reflects on this atrocity committed against citizens of Azerbaijan amid the former conflict in the region; and welcomes the steps taken by Armenia and Azerbaijan towards normalisation and a lasting peace.”
