Bob Blackman: Azerbaijan has rapidly emerged as most critical aviation corridor connecting Europe and Asia
London, March 10, AZERTAC
“With traditional air routes through Russian and Middle Eastern airspace severely disrupted, Azerbaijan has rapidly emerged as the most critical aviation corridor connecting Europe and Asia. The Middle Corridor, the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route running through Baku, is no longer just a regional asset. It is a vital artery for global trade and connectivity,” Bob Blackman, Member of the House of Commons of the British Parliament, and Chairman of All Party Parliamentary Group on Azerbaijan, said on Facebook.
According to him, Azerbaijan's geographic position, modern infrastructure, and diplomatic neutrality make it uniquely placed to serve as a long-term hub for Eurasian aviation and logistics, not just a temporary fix in a time of crisis.
“The UK needs to be deepening its partnership with Azerbaijan. The strategic importance of this relationship has never been more clear,” he added.
